About Ms. Becky

Rebecca Greene, Owner/Instructor, is overjoyed to bring her love of ballet to the Jennings County community. She received over ten years of classical ballet training and has over ten years experience teaching ballet. Students over the years refer to her as Ms. Becky.

Ms. Becky began dancing as a small child. She was also involved in gymnastics and competitive swimming but dance was always in the forefront, specifically ballet. She started taking recreational ballet classes at a community center and moved on to a small dance school offering classes in a church. At 8 years old Ms. Becky landed at the dance studio she would stay at for almost 2 decades, first as a student and later an instructor.

At The Loudoun School of Ballet (LSB) in Leesburg, Virginia, Ms. Becky received classical ballet training from Sheila Hoffman-Robertson, Founder, and then Maureen Miller, Ballet Department Director, both accomplished ballerinas and dancers in their time. Ms. Becky dabbled in jazz, lyrical, and modern both at LSB and the American Dance Festival and Shenandoah University summer programs. She competed in choreography competitions for a number of years placing with several of her works and participated in countless performances of The Nutcracker, recitals, and original pieces.

In her teens, Ms. Becky began teaching preschool ballet and later older classes. In her early twenties she became the Preschool Department Director, overseeing instructors and creating original annual recitals. After earning her Bachelors of Business Administration degree, Ms. Becky changed careers for a short time before soon starting a family.

A North Vernon, Indiana resident since December 2018, Ms. Becky is happily married to Steve with whom she has four children. She enjoys homeschooling her children, exploring the outdoors, baking, gardening, creating art, and listening to music.
